Microsoft rumoured to be cutting Surface RT price
Microsoft is all set to cut the price of its Surface RT tablet by $150, if a recent internet rumour is to be believed.
According to The Verge, which is citing "sources familiar with Microsofts Surface plans," the current iteration of the Surface RT tablet could be cut to $349 (for the 32GB model) as early as next week.
The 64GB model will be cut to $449.99, whilst youll be able to add a Touch Cover to either model for $100 extra.
Such a price cut would follow slow sales of the stripped-back Windows 8 RT tablet. Microsoft has even tried to sell the device off to schools in the past for just $199 a piece.
The reports also comes in the wake of news that Microsoft is to launch the next generation of Surface RT and Surface Pro over the coming 12 months. The company outlined its plans to do so at this weeks Worldwide Partner Conference.
We previously reported that the next Surface RT would run on a Snapdragon 800 CPU, which would enable the inclusion of 4G connectivity.
Meanwhile the next Surface Pro, which will run a full version of Windows 8.1, will likely sport a new Intel Haswell processor.
Its also rumoured that Microsoft is working on a new battery-equipped keyboard cover for the next generation of its Surface tablets.

LG Optimus G2 rumoured to have 5 2 inch display and optical image stabilisation
More LG Optimus G2 specification rumours have emerged, including the suggestion that the super-slim smartphone will come with a larger-than-expect display and some advanced camera tech.
Greek website Techblog carries the reports the that LG Optimus G2 will exceed the 5-inch display size most had expected. According to slightly questionable "unconfirmed information," the forthcoming smartphone will come with a 5.2-inch 1080p LCD IPS screen.
Its suggested that the phones extremely small bezel means that a slight increase in screen size is possible without making the phones body any bigger.
Another interesting new spec rumour from the same source is that the LG Optimus G2s 13-megapixel camera will feature optical image stabilisation (OIS). This is a feature thats only just starting to make its way into phones, allowing for steadier shots and videos and opening up the potential for markedly superior low light shots.
Its thanks to OIS that the Nokia Lumia 920 and the HTC One are such strong performers in low light conditions.
Otherwise, we know from a leaked promotional video and earlier rumours that the LG G2 will feature an unusual rear-mounted volume control setup. This is apparently in reaction to the fact that the phone will be extremely thin.
We also know for a fact that the LG Optimus G2 will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU. LG and Qualcomm issued a joint statement revealing as much last month.

Nokia Android phone rumoured to be called Nokia X at launch
The Nokia Android “Normandy” phone is rumoured to be called the Nokia X at launch.

According to notorious tipster @evleaks, the first Nokia Android phone will come to market named the Nokia X.
Currently, rumours suggest it is in development under the codename, Normandy, and could launch as soon as MWC 2014 in February.
"Project Normandy = Nokia X", read the brief @evleaks tweet.
However, it could well be unveiled after Microsoft’s purchase of Nokia mobile division is complete some time in Q1 2014.
We’ve heard a lot about the Nokia X in recent weeks, including seeing several leaked press shots of the colourful range of Android phones.
From what we’ve seen so far, the Nokia X will look a lot like the Nokia Lumia range and offer a heavily customised Android UI with strong Windows Phone influences.
However, it will benefit from Android features like a notifications centre and access to the wealth of apps on the Google Play Store.
The recent leaks also tip that Nokia may use a single capacitive touch back key underneath the screen with the Nokia X, rather than the three used in the Lumia range.
Preliminary specs for the Nokia X appeared in some AnTuTu benchmarks earlier this month, suggesting the device will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor of unknown model and clock speed.
Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the Nokia X will also reportedly feature a 5-megapixel rear camera.
That’s all we know about the hardware within the Nokia X, but we’ve seen a fair few screengrabs of the heavily Windows Phone influenced Nokia Android UI.
The design features bright, colourful blocks and we expect it will be just as heavy as the OS used in Amazon devices like the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
