Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to come with four variants

Samsung will reportedly launch the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with four different model options suitable for all price ranges.


The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is tipped for a launch with four different price tags, with the specs adjusted according to each price range from top-tier to budget.

The information comes from Korean news site ETNews, which details the vague specs of each level of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

It is not known yet whether each device will have a slightly different name, but for now it seems that  they will all fall under the umbrella of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 name.

Each device will retain the same processor – likely to be the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, both with an unusual 3GB of RAM – and a huge 5.7-inch display.

The most expensive Galaxy Note 3 will supposedly come with a shatterproof AMOLED display and be made from unknown “high-quality materials”, moving away from the plastic body of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

The high-end option could also pack a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Moving down a tier, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will retain the 13-megapixel rear camera but only have a regular AMOLED screen.

The third most expensive option will revert to an LCD display with that 13-megapixel camera, while the cheapest model will only have an 8-megapixel rear camera and an LCD screen.

All three of the lower models will lose the “high-quality” body in favour of the plastic bodies seen on the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and other smartphones in the Samsung Galaxy range.

Previous rumours suggest the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be vastly thinner than the 9.4mm Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at 8mm thick.

We should see that 5.7-inch display pack Full 1080p HD resolutions as well, aside from its LCD or AMOLED status.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is strongly tipped to make an appearance on the eve of the Berlin-based IFA conference in September.
