Maserati Levante production starting next year Alfieri could come within 28 months
Maserati is on a roll. The new Ghibli and Quattroporte have been huge successes, and it unveiled the gorgeous Alfieri concept (pictured above) at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The next step for the brand is getting the Levante crossover into production.
"We are getting Mirafiori ready for production [of the Levante]. The first bodies are expected for 2015," said Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne to Reuters in Geneva. He also said that there isnt much keeping the Alfieri off the streets. "The platforms and motors are there. Technically, production could start in 24-28 months," he said. However, Marchionne refused to say whether the company would actually give the concept a green light to be built.
Fiat hopes to be profitable again by 2016, and while its acquisition of Chrysler is certainly going to help, rejuvenating Alfa Romeo and Maserati are also a major part of the plan. In 2013, the Italian luxury brand saw sales more than double to 15,400 vehicles. Maser is still far away from its goal of selling 50,000 units by 2015, but its quite a start. Fiat bought Maserati in 1993, but business went through a decade or more of doldrums and falling sales. It appears that the century-old brand is finally finding a path forward with some gorgeous new cars.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo pictured next to Note 3

Samsung is supposedly planning to launch a smaller, more affordable version of its Galaxy Note 3 smartphone at MWC 2013 and now we have what claims to be the first image of it.
The leaked image comes courtesy of the notorious SamMobile on Twitter, who claims this is an image of the Galaxy Note 3 Neo and touts a model number SM-N750/5.
Unfortunately, there’s no other information posted with the image, apart from the fact it’s been laid side-by-side with the Galaxy Note 3.
However, earlier this week leaked internal product positioning documents offered us some specs for the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, previously tipped to be called the Galaxy Note 3 Lite.
According to the leaked info, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will have a 5.55-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display, an 8-megapixel camera and a 3300mAh battery, all of which match the specs offered by the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Building on the Galaxy Note 2 specs though, the Note 3 Neo will have a rather unusual 1.7GHz dual plus 1.3GHz quad-core “Hexa” processing chip. This will apparently be backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Although you can’t see it in the above image, the Note 3 Neo will also feature the faux-leather back panel introduced with the Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.
Samsung is expected to launch the Note 3 Neo alongside the Samsung Galaxy S5 at a special event post-MWC 2014.

Flappy Bird Windows Phone app to launch next week
A Flappy Bird Windows Phone app is on the way as developers confirm the latest app-based gaming sensation will spread its wings away from its iOS and Android foundations next week.

An infuriatingly addictive side scrolling game in which players are tasked with guiding a tiny bird through a collection of narrow gaps made up of Mario-inspired green pipes by flapping its wings, Flappy Bird has become an iOS and Android chart topper in recent weeks and is now Windows Phonebound.
Making the announcement on Twitter over the weekend, Flappy Bird developer Dong Nguyen revealed that the game will hit Microsoft’s mobile OS shortly, with a February 11 launch mooted.
“I could estimate 10 days from now,” Nguyen said on February 1 when questioned when a Flappy Bird Windows Phone launch would be held. He added: “It has to be approved by Microsoft.”
A free to download game, Flappy Bird features retro-style, pixelated graphics and slightly clunky touch controls, both of which make the simple game all the more endearing.
As well as targeting four individual progress medals, bronze, silver, gold and platinum, Flappy Bird lets users measure their personal high-scores against friends and the wider Flappy Bird community.

AT T announces Next program for yearly smartphone upgrades
AT&T has announced its new upgrade plan called "AT&T Next". The latest program from the carrier allows you to purchase a brand new smartphone or a tablet once every 12 months.
The new device is available with no activation fee, no down payment, no upgrade fee or any financing fees. To be eligible for this offer you have to pay a monthly fee for 20 months and you will have the option to trade in the device once every 12 months. After trading in your old device, the installment cycle for your device ends and a new cycle for a period of 20 months begin.

HTC One Android 4 4 KitKat update to launch next week
Following much talk, HTC has confirmed that the eagerly awaited HTC One Android 4.4 KitKat update will start being rolled out from next week.

While the Taiwanese manufacturer has confirmed that the HTC One KitKat update will be made available for unlocked handset owners in the US within a matter of days, the company has yet to detail when UK residents can expect the software patch.
“HTC One owners, final KitKat software has entered carrier labs for final testing and expect certification next week,” the company announced via its official Twitter feed.
Far from a surprise release, 84 days ago the manufacturer announced that the HTC One Android 4.4 KitKat update would be rolled out within 90 days, a promise that has ensured next week will see the software introduced.
While HTC continues to update its current flagship phone, attention has already turned to the company’s next-generation handset.
Recent HTC One 2 rumours have claimed that the second-generation device will be officially unveiled next month, in the days leading up to MWC 2014.
As well as boasting a further refined metal-hewn body, the HTC One 2, also doing the rounds under the moniker of the HTC M8, will be upgraded to a 5-inch, 1080p Full HD display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and the Android 4.4 KitKat OS as standard.
